When You Suffer An Illness Whilst On Holiday Abroad
Being ill is bad enough, but imagine being ill or sustaining an injury whilst in a foreign country. Unfortunately things don’t always go to plan and that is when you need the help of an experienced legal team.
Under The Package Travel Regulations 1992, provided that your holiday comes within the definition of a ‘package’, there are various illness’ that can be claimed for including, but not limited to:
• Gastroenteritis also known as food poisoning
• Campylobacter
• Salmonella
• E.Coli
• Shigella
• Enterobius Vermicularis (worms)
• Bacterial infections
• Norovirus etc.
If you have been unfortunate to suffer any health problems abroad like gastric illness and it is within the last 3 years from the date of your holiday you may be entitled to claim for compensation.
